ExamPrep is an online educational platform operated by Bidisha Saha, an individual based in Mejia, Bankura, West Bengal, India. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled when you use the website, application, learning features, digital courses or support.
2. Information we may collect
- Account and contact information such as name, email address and phone number.
- Authentication identifiers and session information handled through Firebase Authentication.
- Learning activity such as exam and test attempts, correct, incorrect and skipped responses, scores, performance information and saved questions.
- Course entitlements and access details, including the course, activation date, validity and expiry status.
- Purchase references such as amount, order status, transaction or payment identifier, and limited reconciliation information.
- Support messages and information voluntarily provided to resolve an enquiry.
- Technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, browser, security logs and diagnostics where genuinely collected.
3. How information is used
- Create and secure accounts and provide the requested service.
- Deliver questions, tests, explanations, results, saved questions and course access.
- Show performance information and help learners review their attempts.
- Verify payments and activate eligible digital access.
- Respond to account, course, payment, refund and technical support requests.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents and unauthorised access.
- Maintain and improve the platform and comply with applicable legal and record-keeping duties.
4. Firebase and service providers
The platform uses Google Firebase services for functions such as authentication, database, hosting and related infrastructure. We may also use carefully selected providers for payments, email, support, diagnostics, security, legal or professional services. Providers receive only the information reasonably required for their role and operate under their applicable terms and safeguards.
- We do not sell personal information.
- Access to administrative and learner records is restricted according to role and purpose.
5. Payments
Payment processing may be handled by an external payment gateway such as Razorpay. Sensitive payment credentials are entered into and processed through the gateway's systems. ExamPrep does not claim to store complete card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, bank passwords or similar payment credentials. We may receive limited identifiers, status, amount and timing information for verification, entitlement activation, reconciliation and support.
6. Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain learning and purchase records, resolve disputes, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. Different periods may apply to account data, learning history, entitlements, purchase references and support correspondence.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Protect your credentials and notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may ask to access, correct or delete certain personal information, withdraw optional consent, or raise a concern. Some records may need to be retained for security, payment, dispute-resolution or legal purposes.
9. Children
Where a learner is below the age at which they can independently consent under applicable law, a parent or lawful guardian should supervise use and provide any required consent.
